Gene Meyer worked for Donna Karan at the Anne Klein studio designing accessories. He then became Geoffrey Beene's design assistant working with him for over ten years. Gene started designing his own distinctive ties and socks in 1991. He has twice won the CFDA award (American Fashion Award) for his menswear collections.
